Today we are visiting Carmel Ridge Winery tasting room (formerly called Carmel Hills Winery) conveniently located on Cannery Row near Sly McFlys and just a few miles from the Bay Park Hotel in Monterey, CA. The story began in 1996 when winemakers Paul and Lynn Stokes planted their first vineyard in the Carmel Valley hills. Today they are widely known for maintaining an intimate wine tasting atmosphere for visitors to Monterey’s Cannery Row and treating their guests like family.
The Monterey and Carmel area is famous for unique terrain and micro-climates as coastal fog blankets parts of the county and heat and sunshine the other. These opposing weather patterns make it one of the best wine growing regions in California. Carmel Ridge Winery is a fine example of just how special Monterey wines have become.
They have been serving excellent wines for several years and at $10 for six pours, you can’t go wrong (this wine special will run until November 19, 2013). Their selection of Chardonnays, Pinot, Cabernets and more allow for a variety of tastes and pairings. They also offer a nice selection of gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegars to round out your wine purchase. Need food paring suggestions? Just ask. They even offer special recipes to go with several of their wines.
If you would like a bottle of wine waiting for you on your next visit to the Bay Park Hotel in Monterey, please call our guests services at (831) 649-1020 to arrange this.
